Edwards and Keselowski to Test New Spoiler at Talladega? | | By Carol Einarsson | 03/12/2010 | Category: I Was Just Wonderin'... | | | When the teams were chosen for next week’s Talladega test, I wonder if they intentionally chose Joey Logano so he could have some seat time in the wing-free COT 2.O before an actual race weekend.
And thanks to Jeff Holtzclaw, I wonder if NASCAR has considered putting Carl Edwards and Brad Keselowski in the cars on the track so we can see how they react when they get wrecked at high speeds. That should show us a lot more than any wind tunnel ever could.
I wonder if Mike Helton at least smiled when Kevin Harvick mused that he’d like to petition for a refund of past penalty monies paid to NASCAR in light of their non-penalty on the 99 this week.
I wonder if I’m the only one who just now found out there are people who don’t like Kenny Wallace. Seriously? Herman haters!!
As the plot thickens, now Jeremy Mayfield’s former brother-in-law has also been suspended for substance abuse. Seems he was working as a spotter for David Gilliland, and failed his random test. First, I wonder why NASCAR wouldn’t test him sooner, given that he claims to have seen Mayfield using meth. If you’re not a meth user, when’s the last time you’ve seen someone use it in front of you? Don’t they kind of stick together that way?
And I also wonder if anyone’s thought to test Sam Hornish’s spotter. We might be on to something.
I wonder how an ESPN reporter got involved in the Mayfield mess. I must be out of that loop, but I can’t help but notice it’s the same ESPN reporter that was highly criticized this week by at least one Cup driver and at least one other member of the media. Curious.
I wonder if it's just coincidence that this off weekend is the same Sunday that we change our clocks back. Maybe NASCAR was concerned that a lost hour would make for lower ratings?
I wonder if anyone’s ever had a blow-out on a city street or highway, and reported to his insurance company, “I cut a tire.”
And one more thing I was just wonderin’…
Am I the only one to see the good in the 99 vs. 12 feud? “What’s good about it,” you ask? Think about it… since it all happened on Sunday, have you even heard the name “Danica”? Oops. I guess now you have.

I like Kenny, but sometimes, he gets on my nerves. If he has haters, it's probably somebody who hates everybody.
NASCAR has never had a problem with the time change before, but all series having off at the same time, that is kinda odd. |

I know I smiled when I saw Harvick’s comment. Maybe Robby Gordon should ask for a refund as well.

| | Am not a Kenny-hater, but will admit to wearing earplugs at times - when he gets excited (which is most of the time) his voice gets louder & louder. I wonder how the sound-booth handles it!
Carol, you said "we change our clocks back." and I'm wondering if you're in a different country. I always thought it was "in the Spring, you spring forward; in the Fall, you fall back". Me thinks you're going to be very very early for church!

And Carol you just might be on to something about Sam's spotter. Either that or I think its time for an eye checkup. Of course he's not alone in that.
And dang it...I was really enjoying not hearing the D-word. Now it we can get past the Carl/Brad talk and maybe not mention Jimmie every other word...well you get my point. The media really needs to learn there are several other drivers out on the track and give them all some love. |
